Weng Pixinは2004年5月にLasalle College of the Artsのペインティング科を優秀な成績で卒業。Pixinが針仕事への愛情と忍耐を再燃させたのは、彼女の卒業プロジェクトでのことだった。自分自身に予算を課した彼女は、様々なサルベーション・アーミーのリサイクルショップを巡り、そこからリサイクルされた服が彼女のプロジェクトのインスピレーションと素材となった。Pixinは、彼女の手作りの作品だけでなく、他のクラフトアーティスト達のすばらしい作品を販売、展示するお店MakiSquarepatchの共同設立者だ。

Weng Pixin graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts in May 2004, with an Honors Degree in Painting. It was her final year project in art college that Pixin rekindled her love and patience for sewing. Setting herself a budget, she scoured various Salvation Army shops for materials and thus begin her love for recycled clothes as main source of inspiration and material. Pixin is also the co-founder of Maki Squarepatch, a shop that not only showcases Pixin’s handmade creations, but also the wonderful works of other crafters and artists.
