1991年、慶応義塾大学経済学部卒業後、ソニー株式会社に入社。海外営業部に所属。1995年、ソニーベトナム北部ベトナム統括支社長に就任。帰国後、コロンビア・トライスター社やミラマックスとの契約を獲得するなど、海外ライセンス部門のトップとして活躍する。
2001年ソニーを退社後、独立。有限会社パサニアを設立する。海外のエンタテイメント分野での事業経験を生かし、アメリカ大手玩具メーカーであるハズブロ社と出資・業務提携を結ぶなど、海外のバイヤーと日本の制作会社をつなぐ映像コンテンツのコンサルティング業務を主に手がける。2003年、同社を株式会社化。世界中の子供たちの夢(Dream)を結ぶ(Link)、極上のエンタテインメント(Entertainment)を作り続けたい、という思いより、社名をディー・エル・イー（DLE）とする。
2005年には、コンサルティング業務のみならず、コストをかけずして短期間で制作する技術「Flash」に注目し、「蛙男商会」等、Flash界のトップブランドのプロデュースを手がける。2006年、世界初の全編Flash作品のテレビシリーズを地上波で放映、今年2007年春には世界初のFLASH映画製作を実現。現在、「秘密結社 鷹の爪 THE MOVIE II ～私を愛した黒烏龍茶～」がTOHOシネマズ系列で上映中。
After graduating from Keio University in 1991, Shiiki joined Sony Corporation’s
international sales division. In 1995 he became head of the Sony Vietnam’s Northern
Vietnam branch and after returning to Japan, was the top in the license division
signing contracts with Columbia, Tristar and Miramax.
In 2001 he left Sony to establish PASANIA Private Limited Company, a moving
image contents consultancy bringing together international buyers such as USA
toy company Hasbro with Japanese production companies. The company went public
in 2003 and changed its name to DLE: Dream, Link, Entertainment.
In 2005 DLE eyed the low-cost/high turnaround Flash-based content and produced Frogman. In 2006 they produced the world’s first all Flash animation and in 2007 the first all Flash movie. Currently, “Eagle Talon, The Movie 2” is showing in TOHO theaters.
