少子高齢化や経済のグローバル化などが進展する中、静岡市では次代を担い、世界に発信する創造型産業の創出を図るため、“コンテンツビジネスのメッカ静岡”の実現を目指してコンテンツバレー構想の推進に取り組んでおります。
「しずおかコンテンツバレーフェスティバル」は、同構想の重要な情報発信事業として、本市とＮＰＯ法人しずおかコンテンツバレー推進コンソーシアムとの共催で開催いたします。今回のフェスティバルは、『「産業」と「デザイン文化」の融合』というテーマのもと、同構想の推進拠点である「静岡市クリエーター支援センター（CCC）」をメイン会場に、世界やアジアの最先端デザイン事情を紹介するなど、本市産業界に対してデザインを生かした産業の活性化を提案するとともに、コンテンツ産業の魅力を市内外に発信してまいります。
今後、本フェスティバルを通じて、国内外のクリエーターと地元産業との積極的なコラボレーションが促進され、本市産業が更なる発展を遂げることを期待しております。
最後になりましたが、本フェスティバル開催にあたり、ご支援をいただいた多くの企業の皆様、ご尽力いただきましたNPO法人しずおかコンテンツバレー推進コンソーシアムの皆様、またフェスティバル期間中にお手伝いをいただくボランティアの皆様に心から感謝申しあげます。
Amidst the challenges presented by a shrinking society and economic globalization, the City of Shizuoka is working towards the goal of turning Shizuoka into a "contents business mecca," a hotbed of industrial creativity with international potential, through the Contents Valley Initiative.
The Shizuoka Contents Valley Festival will be held as a collaborative effort between the City of Shizuoka and the non-profit organization, the Shizuoka Contents Valley Consortium, to provide a venue for information sharing and further developing creative concepts. The theme of this years festival is "Uniting Industry and Design Culture." At the center for creative communication (CCC), cutting edge design work from Asia and around the world will be on display, and while promoting greater use of design to invigorate local industry, this event hopes for the people of this city and beyond to witness the potential of the contents industry.
I hold high hopes that through this festival, the collaboration of local and international creatives and local industry will take our citys industrial development to new heights.
