SCV主催の第4回「しずおかコンテンツバレーフェスティバル（SCVF）」を迎えるにあたり、ご挨拶申し上げます。
SCVFは、政令都市・静岡市にコンテンツ産業を育成・振興する目的で設立された非営利の活動団体「しずおかコンテンツバレー推進コンソーシアム」が年に1度、80余の会員（団体・個人）の年間活動成果を公開する最大のイベントです。SCV活動を地元の皆様にご理解いただくとともに、世界的な一流作品やアーティストに接することで“本物”を知っていただく機会として開催するものです。
今回のテーマは「産業とデザイン文化の融合」としました。近年、日本でも、もの作りにおけるデザインの重要性が改めて認識されるようになってきています。単なる外観のスタイリングとしてのデザインから、トータル・ソリュージョンとしてのデザインへのシフト。デザインがより重要な経営戦略の軸として位置付けられてきました。こうした変化を敏感に感じ取った会員たちが“新しいデザインのまち静岡”を内外に発信すべく総力を集めて表現しました。
主会場の静岡市クリエーター支援センターは、SCV活動の政策提言を受け、静岡市が閉鎖した青葉小学校校舎内に整備した市内初のクリエーター育成施設です。閉校がどのような姿に生まれ変わったのか。そして、コンテンツ、デザインの今は・・・。

Shizuoka Contents Valley Consortium (SCV), established to cultivate and develop the contents industry in the designated government-ordinace city Shizuoka, is proud to again present the "Shizuoka Contents Valley Festival (SCVF)". This festival strives to provide the opportunity for visitors to experience "genuine quality' through interactions with the worlds top class artists and their works, as well as to make the activities of SCV widely known to the local residents by annually publicising the acitivity outcomes of over 80 registered members.
This years theme is "Uniting Industry and Design Culture". Recently around the world and including Japan, there has been more focus on the importance of the role of design in product-making. Not just in a decorative sense but a shift to design as a total solution. Design has become a major part in business strategy. In response to this change or members wish to show "Shizuoka " A City of New Design".
The center for the creative communications (CCC), the venue for this event,
is the first creative support facility in the city, established inside the former building of Aoba primary school, in response to the policy proposal of SCV. We sincerely hope people will come and see how the building itself has been reborn and come to know more about the contents industry and design today.
