Chris Leeが設立、クリエイティブ・ディレクターを務めるAsylumは、デザインスタジオ、ショップ、ワークショップからレコードレーベルまでを運営する、気鋭のクリエイティブカンパニー。Asylumは、自社を「アイディア会社」と位置付けている。1999年の設立より、インタラクティブ・デザイン、プロダクト・デベロップメント、環境＆インテリアのデザイン、パッケージング、アパレルデザイン、ブランディングからグラフィックデザインに至るまで幅広いジャンルをクロスして活動を続けている。
彼の作品は、クリエイティブ界ではすでに非常に高く評価されており、TheOneShow、D&AD等を含む50以上もの国際的な賞を受賞している。さらにAsylumは、シンガポール国内はもとより、オスロからニューヨーク、バンコク、北京、台湾、日本、ロンドン、香港等、世界30以上の雑誌で特集されている。Chrisはクリエイティブ教育にも力を入れており、アジア各国の大学やカンファレンスで講義も行っている。2007年には、D&ADアワードのシンガポール代表デザイン審査員として参加している。
Chris Lee is the founder and creative director of Asylum, a highly regarded creative company that comprises of a design studio, a retail store, a workshop and a record label. Asylum is defined as an ideas company. Since its inception in 1999, they have worked on cross disciplinary projects that includes interactive design, product development, environmental & interior design, packaging, apparel design, branding, and graphic design.
His work in the creative industry is recognized with more than 50 international awards including The One Show and D&AD. Asylum has also been featured in more than 30 international magazines from Oslo, New York, Bangkok, Beijing, Taiwan, Japan, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Chris is also very active in creative education; he guest lectures and talks at universities and conferences in Asia. He represented Singapore as a design judge for the prestigious D&AD awards in 2007.
