サウンドプロデューサー・プロダクトデザイナー
1970年静岡市生まれ。1997年よりオランダのテクノレーベル“X-Trax”より音源をリリース。2004年、Color Light、Random, 2005年にBalloonLamp、Honeycomb Lampを発表。２００６年 共栄デザインを設立。
同年 静岡県立美術館にて個展“TWO DAYS & FOUR PRODUCTS”を開催。同5月、NYで開かれたICFF(NY)にイタリアの「designboom」より参加など、作品は特に欧米諸国で高く評価され、世界中でエキシビションを開催。アートと音楽、デザインを横断するデザイナーとして期待されている。共栄デザインのプロダクトはDroog、アトランタデザインミュージム、ロンドンデザインミュージアムなど、世界25 カ国以上のデザインブランド、 ショップ、美術館などで扱われている。
主な展覧会に、kouichi okamoto-one week & three items（スウェーデン）-next century modern&tokyo style in gothenburg 提供、“two days & four-products” 静岡県立美術館、セントエチエンヌdesignboom mart（フランス）、designboommart in 100% design Tokyo2006、designboom mart in ICFF （ニューヨーク）、Gwangju Design Biennale 2007（韓国）、designboom mart in 100%design Tokyo 2007、Seoul Design Week 2007（韓国）、designboom mart in Stock holm(スウェーデン) 、“two days & four products 2008” 静岡県立美術館、designboom mart in ICFF(NY)、Seoul Design Olympiad 2008 invited exhibition, designboom mart in Seoul design olympiad（韓国）など。

Born in 1970 in Shizuoka City, Okamoto released a sound source in 1997 from Dutch techno label “X-trax”. He introduced the products Color Light and Random in 2004 and the Balloon Lamp and Honeycomb Lamp in 2005. He established Kyouei design in 2006 and held his first solo exhibition called “TWO DAYS & FOUR PRODUCTS” at the Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art. In May of the same year, he exhibited at ICFF in New York as a part of the designboom mart. His Products have received high acclaim in the West and exhibitions are held all over the world including Sweden, France, USA and Korea. He is expected to be one of the leading designers of the next generation.
