芸術大学で油絵を学んだ後、家具メーカーに就職。家具・雑貨の企画デザインから製造までに携わる。退職後は家具産地静岡から家具産地北海道へと渡り2級技能士の資格を取得する。帰郷後mag design labo.を設立。「境界」をテーマにいろいろな活動の中から芸術を模索し、いろいろな手段の中からデザインを模索している。magは対象物を想定せず、感覚的に訴えるデザインを必要な対象に落とし込む。

After studying oil painting, Hanazawa worked at a furniture manufacturer where he worked on design planning to finished product for furniture and living goods. He then moved to Hokkaido where he acquired second-level engineer certification. mag design labo. was started after returning to Shizuoka. Along the theme of "borders", mag seeks art and design from a variety of activities and does not limit designs, but falls for items that need design that appeals to the senses.
