1968年神戸市生まれ。多摩美術大学絵画科油画専攻卒。大学在学中より現代美術作家活動。1993年アジアを放浪後、第一次次世代機ムーブメントのゲーム業界に身を置き、デジタルによるデザインの洗礼を受ける。1998年有限会社フリフリカンパニーを設立し、以後10年フリフリカンパニーのクリエイティブディレクターとして活動。国内外で高い評価を得る。2008年新たなる可能性を求め、フリーとして活動開始。
代表作：ギフトピア（任天堂）、Monster 360 （NIKE）、ブタヅカ（Yahoo! Japan）、SWAG（MTV Asia）など多数。
Born in 1968 in Kobe City, Tei graduated from Tama Art University's oil painting course. While in school, he began his career as a fine artist. After roaming around Asia, he returned to Japan in 1993 and joined the gaming industry, which was in the middle of the first generation consol movement, and experienced the baptism of the new digital design wave. In 1998, Tei established Furi Furi Company, a creative design agency which became internationally recognized, and was its creative director for 10 years. In 2008 Tei decided to freelance in order to seek greater opportunities and possibilities.
Works include Giftpia (Nintendo), Monster 360 (NIKE), Butazuka (Yahoo! Japan), and SWAG (MTV Asia).
