KLDW is Malaysia’s first large international design event. The theme of the first event is “SHOW+SHINE.” The message behind the event is to “SHOW” what is currently going on in design industries abroad while putting domestic designers under the spotlight and to create an opportunity for artists to share how their designs will “SHINE” through their activities and work. Various programs such as special conferences and exhibtions by designers from 30 or more different countries, as well as group exhibitions of young designers in Malaysia were held within the nine-day period at several locations, including the National Art Gallery and KLCC Convention Center as the main sites, and numerous locations around Kuala Lampur such as Cap Square. Hexaproject participated in the exhibition, conference, and forum as guest writer of the KLDW.
