Monika Hinkel
Dr Monika Hinkel is a Research Associate at the Japan Research Centre at SOAS, University of London. She lectures for the Diploma in Asian Art courses at SOAS, the V&A Year Course Arts of Asia, the World Art and Artefacts courses at Birkbeck and is a tutor at Morley College. Before moving to London in 2004, she worked as a curator for Japanese Art at the Museum of East Asian Art in Cologne and held the position of guest researcher at Gakushûin University in Tokyo. She is a specialist in Japanese woodblock prints.
