Amsterdam and Tokyo-based product, textile, and interior design studio established by Dutch designer Samira Boon. Central to the design process is the relationship between user and object/space, Products are not seen as final and fixed, but are adaptable according to circumstance or the wishes of the user. This flexibility creates an active relationship between user and object. Minimalism and simplicity characterize the work, which while inspired by traditional objects for daily use in Asian culture, are transformed with contemporary styling. The different features and character of each product necessitate a range of materials and techniques. As these are developed and material use influence each other in both directions. The products are on sale in shops around Japan, Europe and the USA.
