Integrated Study for Shizuoka City Nakajima Elementary School 2002 Graduation “Dreaming Shapes” Day 5
“Dreaming Shapes” is a special workshop held for sixth grade students in response to a request from Nakajima Elementary School. This will be the first attempt at a long-term art project allowing collaboration of artists, teachers, and students using the time of integrated studies at a public elementary school in Shizuoka. The purpose of this workshop is to get the children to think of the culture of their land and to bring it to their fingertips. The children will then communicate it with others. This program emphasizes importance not only in the final product but also the process, and hopes for children to discover “something” through a new experience, as a way to commemorate their graduation.
